Giving back through surf therapy is one of my many joys in life! The ocean is so powerful, it heals many.
There's nothing that fills your heart more than surf therapy days with kids who have special needs, like autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other physical, developmental, and medical conditions. These days are special for everyone on the beach. The kids get to feel the joy of the ocean, the parents proudly watch them light up, and the rest of us walk away remembering what truly matters in life.
My goal is to give away as many books as possible at these events, so every keiki has a token to remember their perfect day by.

Every surfing pose in this book was inspired by my ripper friends and the surfing legends I’ve always admired.
Drawing inspiration from these incredible surfers helped me capture the true body mechanics of surfing and the style that makes the sport so unique to each individual.
These radical poses are included not only to honor the surfers who inspired them, but also to bring authenticity to the movements and hopefully spark excitement in the next generation of groms!
